From 1st December, the house will be fully decorated for the season – ready for cosy nights in, festive feasts, and glasses of mulled wine by the fire. Cook up a Christmas spread in the well-equipped kitchen, or bring in one of our trusted local caterers for something extra special.
Whether it’s a pre-Christmas escape or a stylish New Year’s stay, Derwentwater House offers space, comfort, and a spectacular lakeside setting.
Bedrooms
Derwentwater House sleeps up to 22 guests across two beautifully presented properties. The main house features eight spacious double ensuite bedrooms, sleeping 16 in total. For larger groups, the separate on-site lodge offers three additional double bedrooms – two with ensuites – accommodating up to six more guests.
