You can sample some fine cuisine at a local gastro-pub or restaurant. The Chalet Restaurant, which is informal yet stylish, is a mere 5 minutes, and The Farmer’s Arms is only a ten minute walk from the house. The Lingholm Kitchen & Walled Garden is Derwentwater’s newest hidden gem serving breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea and is only a short walk from the house. Keswick also offers great dining out, with our favourites being Morrels and The Pheasant Inn. Other favorites for a special occasion are The Pheasant at Basenthwaite Lake, or The Cottage in the Wood, Whinlatter. We recommend booking.
